F.O.T. (Forced Oscillatory Technique)
The Forced Oscillatory Technique sccurately measures lung function by superimposing a gentle multi frequency airwave onto the patient’s respiratory airflow. Only a short period of quiet breathing is required to obtain a reliable measurement of airway resistance and obstruction.
F.O.T. may be used as an alternative to spirometry - especially in children and the elderly.
For more information or to book a F.O.T. test, contact The Lung Centre on 07 5564 7775 or fill out the contact form below.
